Kids enjoying endless summer holiday

Hanging out with friends, on the beach, in the garden, running around, visiting people...

Oh how great it was when summer holidays were still endless!

With friend Viggo.

Läjet beach with David and unknown friends.

Very cute!

Great grannies!

My grannies are called "the ladies" (tanterna in Swedish), normally show up together, and are still very much alive. Granny Junis just moved from her own place into a service home at age 97, but granny Märta has no such plans. She continues biking around the village, picking berries in the woods and hanging out with other likewise. She is never at home.

Skåne - bicycling and crab fishing

Skåne - the southernmost part of Sweden. My old geography teacher always said he hoped it would be covered by water after next ice age. Or that maybe we could give it back to the Danes. They sure do have a special dialect but it is also one of the most beautiful parts of Sweden and where I have several of my dearest friends.

In Skåne I spent a girls only weekend bicycling on Ven, drinking lots of coffee and gin tonic and catching up. And another day Hana, Kai and I visited Brita and her kids, went crab fishing and had lots of fun all day long.

Then, driving back in the bright summer night with two happy kids sleeping in the back. Wonderful.

Very best friend Anna caught in motion, heading for some fresh smoked salmon on tiny island Ven.

Summer in Sweden - granny's garden

... is probably where we have spent most time this summer, just hanging out in the sun, running around and breathing fresh air.
